1-to-1 Coaching
A partnership built around your goals. At your pace.
Space and time to think clearly about where you are, and where you want to be.
The Problem
The loneliness of leadership.
The bigger the role, the fewer the honest conversations. Somewhere in that, the space to think clearly is lost.
We help work out where you are, where you want to be, and what it will take to get there.
What our Coaching Looks LIke
An EMCC executive coach, I create a partnership to help you gain clarity and navigate challenges while unlocking your leadership potential and personal growth.
Who This Is For
You don't need to be in crisis. You need to want things to shift.
For leaders managing competing priorities, navigating change, a lack of self-confidence, moving into executive roles, and managing work life balance.
Case Study
The weight of the next step.
‘Ben’s engaging style created a space that allowed me to be comfortable to share experiences. He challenged me and asked insightful questions so I left sessions with clear objectives to make impactful change.’
— Chief People Officer, UK Bank
The Problem
A young HR professional at a UK bank is transitioning to Chief People Officer. But she lacks leadership presence, particularly in board meetings with older male executives. The client feels the pressure to prove herself, manage her critical voice, and demonstrate influence within the organisation.
The Diagnosis
Client challenges include feeling pressure, uncertainty, and the need to demonstrate influence and leadership. She also struggles with imposter syndrome and a struggle to adapt to the male dominated culture.
The client also seeks to transition from a firefighting style to a more strategic and delegating leadership style.
The Design
We focused on building self confidence, leadership skills, and impact in board meetings.
We worked on managing her critical voice, imposter syndrome and strategies for stress management.
We also explored ways to improve relationship dynamics with members of the exec team.
The Delivery
The coaching sessions included the co-creation of strategies for managing stress, improving eating and sleeping habits, and enhancing mental well-being.
We also focused on developing the client’s leadership presence, communication skills, and confidence in boardroom settings.
The Evaluation
The client left with an increased feeling of self confidence, enhanced communication skills, and effective stress management.
The client’s ability to have more impact in board meeting presentations — being vocally stronger and answering challenges better — was also developed.
Feedback from the exec team noted she was ‘managing stakeholders better’, showed ‘stronger leadership presence and gravitas’, and is ‘more assertive and firmer.’
What Clients Say
“Ben has significantly influenced my approach to both professional and personal environments. I’ve evolved from transactional relationships to deeper, more meaningful connections.”
Alexander McToal, Hand and Millar LLP
“Working with Ben has been nothing but excellent. What I found most helpful was his ability to distil my meandering contemplations into clear, actionable goals.”
Heff Heathcote, Partner, TLT LLP
“Ben is engaging, creative and patient. He asks provocative and affirming questions with equal measure. I’d highly recommend him as a sounding board who can push you further than you’d go on your own.”
